Online Sessions | 60 minutes | Confidential

Do you recognise yourself in one or more of these situations as an expat or international?

  • I feel anxious for no clear reason, especially while navigating life in a new country
  • Your thoughts won’t stop, and you find yourself overthinking every decision, like how to communicate or fit into a different culture
  • You constantly doubt your choices, from career moves to everyday interactions in an unfamiliar environment
  • You feel tense or restless most days, as if you always have to “figure things out” on your own
  • You put off important decisions for fear of making the wrong choice
  • You find it hard to relax, even when everything seems ‘fine’
  • You want to understand why you react this way and how to change it

The whole process, start to finish

What working together actually looks like

Not knowing what happens next is one of the most common reasons people put off therapy for years. So here is the entire path — from the first message to the session where you no longer need me. Open any step to see inside it.

    1 of 7 steps reached

    1. Free · 15 minutes · no commitment We talk before you commit to anything Click anywhere on this card to book →

You tell me what is going on. I tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it — and if I am not, I will point you to someone who is. Nothing is booked and nothing is paid at this stage.

    2. This is the session where I listen far more than I talk.

      • What brought you here now, rather than a year ago.
      • What you have already tried — including what did not work, which tells me as much as what did.
      • What changed when you moved countries: what you left behind, and what followed you here.
      • What you want your life to look like if this goes well.

You set the pace. Nothing has to be said before you are ready to say it.

    3. Not a form you fill in. Over these sessions we build what psychologists call a case conceptualisation — a working map of how the problem actually operates in your life. It answers three questions, in this order:

What exactly is the problem? Not "anxiety" or "burnout" as a label, but the specific loop: what happens, when, with whom, and what you do to get through it.
Why did it appear — and why is it still here? Where it started, what made you vulnerable to it, and above all what is keeping it alive today. Those are rarely the same thing, and the last one is the one we can change.
So what do we do about it? Which methods fit this particular mechanism, in which order, and what should start shifting first if we have got it right.

At the end I explain the whole map back to you in plain language. If it does not match your experience, we correct it — you are the one who knows.

    4. I work with three approaches, combined according to what your assessment showed — not one fixed protocol applied to everyone. Hover over each one to see what it actually does.

CBT Cognitive behavioural Changes what you think and what you do, so the feeling has less to stand on. We catch the thoughts that fire automatically, test them against real evidence instead of arguing with them, and dismantle the avoidance that has been quietly keeping the fear intact. Hover to see more
ACT Acceptance & commitment Ends the fight with the thought, and points you back at what you actually care about. Some things cannot be argued away — grief, uncertainty, a memory. So we make room for them instead, and get you moving toward your values while they are still present. Hover to see more
Schema Schema therapy For the patterns that are older than the problem and keep repeating. Beliefs formed early — I am not enough, I will be left, I must not need anyone — still running the show decades later. We trace where they came from and meet the need underneath them differently. Hover to see more

You will always know which one we are using and why. And if something is not working, that is a reason to change the method — not a reason to try harder at it.

    5. We meet for one hour a week. Your life happens in the other 167 — and that is where the change has to hold.

So you leave each session with something small and specific to do. Never homework in the school sense, and never a surprise: we agree it together at the end of the session, and it has to be something that fits in your actual week.

      • Noticing — writing a situation down while it is happening, before your memory rewrites it.
      • Testing — trying the thing you are certain will go badly, on a small scale, and finding out what really happens.
      • Practising — a technique from the session, used in the moment it is needed rather than in theory.
      • Moving — one concrete step toward something that matters to you, taken before you feel ready.

If it did not happen, there is no telling-off. We look at what got in the way — because that obstacle is usually the problem itself, showing up in the open.

    6. Every tenth session is a review session. We put the map back on the table and hold it up against the last ten weeks.

      • We re-measure what we measured at the start, so progress is something we can see rather than something we hope for.
      • We check the conceptualisation itself: has anything we have learned since changed our understanding of the problem?
      • We name what has moved, what has not, and what you want next.

There are only three honest outcomes, and all three are fine: it is working, so we carry on; it is not, so we change the approach or I refer you on; or you have got what you came for, so we start finishing.

You never have to be the one who raises it. That part is my job.

    7. The whole point of this is that you stop needing me.

Therapy should not fade out because you got busy. We space the last sessions further apart deliberately, and we spend them on one thing: making sure you can do without me what we have been doing together.

      • You leave with your own map of the problem, written down in your own words.
      • A plan for the bad week: what the early signs look like for you specifically, and what to do first.
      • An open door. A single check-in session months later is a normal thing to ask for, not a sign that anything failed.

How often we meet, and for how long

The first months Once a week, while things are still moving.
After that Every two weeks, as you need me less.

Most people work with me for between 10 and 50 sessions, depending on what they bring. With a review every tenth session, you are never in therapy without knowing why you are still there — or when you are ready to stop.

    meet us

We know taking the first step to therapy can be hard. That’s why our process is clear, structured, and tailored to your pace.

We work through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. When appropriate, we also integrate techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy (ST) to tailor the process to your individual needs. In sessions, we explore patterns that maintain anxiety and overthinking, and develop practical strategies to reduce tension, make decisions with greater clarity, and restore emotional balance.

We offer online sessions in both English and Romanian, for people living locally or abroad.

    Who We Are

We are two accredited psychologists, trained at Babeș-Bolyai University, with expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) recognised across Europe.

We primarily work with anxiety, overthinking, and emotional blocks, especially with people who may appear to “have it all together” on the outside, but internally struggle with constant self-doubt, tension, and delayed decision-making.

In sessions, we combine structure and clarity with a safe, supportive space where you can explore your concerns without pressure. Our process focuses on understanding the patterns that maintain anxiety and developing practical steps toward emotional balance and autonomy.

We offer online sessions in both Romanian and English, for people living locally and abroad.
